Smoking Ban One Year On - Council is Pleased With the Results

ENVIRONMENTAL Health officers at North East Lincolnshire Council have hailed Smokefree legislation a success - on the one-year anniversary of the laws coming into place.  Research indicates there has been a high level of compliance amongst businesses and residents since the legislation came into place on July 1, 2007.  There has been a higher level of support for council-backed Stop Smoking Services, which include telephone-aided quits and advice surgeries.
