Ministers must step in to end rail dispute
“The Department for Transport needs to play a more active role in bringing all sides together,” said the Liberal Democrat Shadow Transport Secretary, Norman Baker.
Commenting on First Capital Connect’s cancellation of 28 trains because of driver shortages, Norman Baker said:
“This cannot be allowed to continue. Passengers cannot have endless disruption because of a dispute between a company and a union.
“The Department for Transport needs to play a more active role in bringing all sides together with a view to ending this dispute.”
