Health and fitness advice on offer at children’s centres in N E Lincs

Getting fit and healthy isn’t some people’s idea of fun, but with your local children’s centre it can be.

There are 14 children’s centres across North East Lincolnshire, each offering a vast array of services. Many of these services are aimed at improving the health and well-being of parents and their families.

Activities range from cookery lessons to family fitness sessions, so whether you want to tone up, or simply learn to eat better, there is something for everyone.

From Monday, September 13 Broadway Children’s Centre will be running Family Fitness Frenzy sessions, a weekly physical activity that will incorporate dance, music and exercises on the Wii.

On Friday, September 17, the centre will be holding a Toasty Friday special with a healthy breakfast theme. The aim of the session is to encourage parents to take what they have learnt and use it at home. Health trainers and food workers will be there to participate and give advice.

For more information about the activities your centre provides, contact them directly or call the family information service on 01472) 323339
