Humberside Police appeal for information following death of man in Cleethorpes
Detectives investigating the death of a man in Cleethorpes are appealing for anyone with information to come forward in order to establish exactly what happened.
The 48-year-old Cleethorpes man was found laying on the driveway outside an address on Princes Road in Cleethorpes just before 5.20pm on Saturday 11 February 11, 2012 having suffered serious internal and head injuries.
He was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew before being taken to the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital where he sadly died at around 10.45pm the same night.
Detective Supt Dena Fleming Said:
“We are investigating the death of a 48-year-old man but it is too early for us to speculate about how the victim suffered such serious injuries.
“We have already carried out a number of inquiries in and around the Princes Road area of Cleethorpes and officers also visited a number of Cleethorpes venues in order to try and establish the victims movements prior to him being found on the driveway of a property on Princes Road.
“At this time it is not clear if this was a tragic accident or a suspicious incident so we are unable to rule anything out making it vital that anyone with information relating to the incident or how the victim received such serious injuries comes forward by calling us at the Cleethorpes Major Incident Room on 101.”
The family of the 48-year-old man are currently being supported by specially trained family liaison officers at this time.
Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with information about movements of the deceased prior to him being found injured should contact Humberside Police via 101 quoting log number 441 of 11/02/12 or alternatively call Crimestoppers who will take the information anonymously on 0800 555 111.
