Humberside Police appeal for information on robbery in Catherine Street, Grimsby

A BLACK velvet purse containing cash and a bank card was stolen from a 40-year-old woman as she walked along Catherine Street in Grimsby.

The incident happened between approximately 1730hrs and 1745hrs on Monday 11 February.

The woman left a shop and was aware of two men hanging around outside.

The two men are then believed to have followed her as she walked towards her home address before they overtook her and one then demanded her purse.

The victim was allegedly pushed against a garage causing her nose to bleed and one offender brandished a knife whilst the other searched her pockets and stole the purse before they made off.

The suspects are described as white men, approximately 25 years old and slim build. One was wearing a light blue or grey coloured hooded top, dark Adidas bottoms and white trainers. The other was wearing a dark hooded top and bottoms.
