Humberside Police are appeal for witnesses of a collision on Trinity Road, Cleethorpes

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision near to the cemetery on Trinity Road, Cleethorpes at 1230hrs on Wednesday 14 August 2013.

A 41-year-old man was cycling along Trinity Road towards Taylor Avenue with two children when he was struck from behind by scaffolding wood which was overhanging a passing a Black coloured Ford Ranger or Mitsubishi Pickup truck.

This caused him to fall into a parked vehicle which briefly knocked him unconscious.

A woman member of the public came to his assistance; however the driver of the pick up failed to stop at the scene.

The man sustained severe bruising and grazing to his back and attended Princess of Diana Hospital for treatment.

Officers would like to speak to the woman who assisted the cyclist or anyone else who witnessed the incident.
